Uggley Family
May I introduce the Uggleys. Grandma Uggley is sitting with the bear, he is her constant companion. Grandma never knew her father and decided many years ago that she had no need of a man, when she decided it was time to have a child she went the artificial way and passed that idea on to her daughter,Mellisa (who is in the brown dress). Mellisa did follow her mothers advice and had two daughters the same way. The daughter in rose is Penelope and the one sitting on the floor is Patsy. They must have all come from the same bank because they look amazingly alike.
The girls seldom leave their home so they don't bother with shoes, their clothes seldom change, no men to impress so they wear the same stuff day after day.
I never hear any arguments from them so they must be content so I just leave them alone.

Ugly Doll
THis is the ugliest doll I have ever seen and I made it. Talking to a lady at the University the other day telling her we are using my ugly dolls as part of the table decorations at the libray this month and she mentioned that she had never had a doll in her life. Well every one should have a doll if they really want one so i decided to make her an UGLY, and this is it. I never professed to be a sculptor so all the bumps are just as they happened.

This is a sketch book I have made to start recording some sketches and words of wisdom. I will start it on my 9oth birthday, in a few weeks. It is loaded with all kinds of drawing paper that I got in the box from Legion paper, many different kinds. I haven't been doing much painting, there's not much room left under my bed so i turned to the books for something creative. I have many of the members of this group for inspiring me to tackle this project for which i thank you all.

These paintings were all done on wall paper lining material. The two similar paintings are for my bathroom windows, the light comes thru. The big red hangs in my studio gallery and no one realises the material. The paper is very inexpensive and you can sometimes find ends of rolls. Really a fun thing to try

things I carry
These are some pictures of things I carry when I go out to sketch. I made the bag and made it to fit the sizes of the contents. I usually work on 1/8 sheets of watercolor paper, using a piece of foam board for a support. My water is in film canisters and I always have enough . My pallette was a blank that I filled with my tube paint. As you can see I have a good selection of brushes, really more than I need. The sketch book is one I just completed I bought a box of watercolor paper from Legion Paper. It is about 8 by 10,each sheet is a different paper and different finish. Some of it was pretty heavy so I only used 2 sheets in each signiture.
As you can tell the bag has been around a long time
The picture of the Tiny Art Book was a birthday gift. Just to show that I am still painting.
