This is a watercolor painting I have been working on for a week, The paper hasn't been cooperating. I have usually been able to blend colors much easier. It was almost as if something had been sprayed on the paper to resist the color. I was temted to get out the acrylics but instead have started another on different paper. This is just a part of the painting , it is a quarter sheet of Fabriano paper, so just about half of it fit in my scanner. Oh well, it's only paper.

 

Following Anita's tab idea I made several small tabs 2 1/2 by 3 inches. I have a friend who is recuperating from a mastectomy, I send her cars frequently and this will be the next one she gets. I made the paper .covering using a melted wax process, every sheet is different.

 
Winter does have some good things about it, the snow covers some of the ugliness,but I'll take spring any time and soon.

 
 
Just thought I'd share my sketches in the sketch book I made following Nina Johanson's directions, It is 31/2 inches wide and 23/4 inches high. I also showed it to a class I sometimes teach at the senior Center and now they are all making them. Thanks so much to Nina.
