Here are some sketches i made on a bus trip to Mt. Rushmore and beyond. They are very crude, some, like the first two were made on a moving bus. i sketched with a pen then added some color when we stopped for the night. I made the journal like a chinese book Ibought when Iwas in China
The next sketch shows the falls at Soiux Falls and Mt. Rushmore. The next one is several scenes of the Rockies and the last one is a sketch of the State capital in Denver with a window of a winery we visited in Missouri on the way home.
I have many photos of this trip but the sketches bring it all back, hope you enjoy my effort.

This old barn is in Port Orchard, Washington. I have watched it slowly falling down for a number of years.I finally too a picture the last time I saw my brother and this will always be a memory of our last time together.

This is a full sheet of watercolor paper. I had a lot of fun with negative spaces on this one.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I thought we all might need to remember just how cold it has been.

This is the companion to the red rose. When you click on the picture ,you will see the larger version. i really like painting flowers and most of the flowers I paint are from my garden. And of course my camera is also busy when Ivisit other sites.

This is a print I made for Hospice of the Valley. They are using it as a fund raiser to build a butterfly garden at the new Hospice house. This is a hospice for people who need respite care and a caring place for the end time. the price is only 10 dollars plus shipping. The size will fit a 16x20 frame.
